Rocket to Mars

New painting. After faffing around with the scale of the rocket i then spent ages struggling with the symmetry of it as well. Rockets are pretty flat so i bashed in some shading on the fusilage to suggest shape and depth. I think I could have tweaked this forever, but rather than run the risk of ruining it I decided to quit while I was ahead. Acrylic on canvas.

It has been a long old time since I last posted here, a normal service will resume in the future. Until then I am posting regularly on my FLICKR account for a bit, antiquated I know! Remember,  'a change is as good as a rest'.

La Isla Bonita

Just a quick little vectored image based on quick Biro Doodle on a scrap of paper. I created this using Inkpad which is a free simple vector program. In theory because it is a vectored image it could be enlarged to the size of Wembley Stadium and not lose any quality. Tempting . . .

A Strolling in the Park I Go

Happy new year! To celebrate the new year I completed a new piece. This one is an elaboration on a doodle I did and in someways this is my New Years resolution: I intend to walk more. Also this will help shift the post-Christmas spare tyre. Felt-tip pen and Photoshop on A4 paper. Until next time . . . walk it off.

What Does A Robot Do All Day?

Recently I was asked to paint a picture of a Robot that was also a washing machine for a friends child. On completion of the painting I only took one quick photo however the quality of the photo was sadly poor. So for fun I re-drew the whole painting with the previously omitted background that I could not include due to a shortage of time. Felt tip and photoshop.

Drunk On Ghosts

Big detailed image and just for fun, pencil then pen and finally photoshop. This was lots of fun to draw and was greatly improved by the lots of little "nubbins with eyes". In my mind the central character is a Space Bunny and the too smaller cyclops creatures are Gerbils or Squirrels. 19cm x 13cm
